Esta breve publicación en inglés reflexiona sobre los desafíos que ha presentado el brote del virus del Zika en la Región de las Américas, las lecciones que se hubieran podido aprender en brotes pasados, el progreso reciente y la necesidad de fortalecer nuestra preparación ética para brotes futuros.

This brief publication reflects on the challenges posed by the Zika virus outbreak in the Region of the Americas, the lessons that could have been learned in previous outbreaks, the recent progress, and the need to strengthen our ethics preparedness for future outbreaks.
